Im after a complete Turbo head if anyone has one for sale. please PM me. Must be in good nick.

There's not really a specific turbo head. The only thing you really need to consider with a head for a turbo motor is chamber volume. Have you worked out what volue you need? Other than that you can basically run a standard head

Yeah, I think your right but all that can easily be changed. Any 12G940 can be made suite a turbo wheather its just opening out the chambers the necessary amount or doings some serious modding.

I was just making the point that you don't need a "Turbo Head" when building a turbo motor

metro turbo cylinder heads are fitted with the same valves as all 12g40 heads. the exhaust valves are all the same size. inlets are standard small size 33mm. the exhuast valves in a turbo head have sodium filled stems, which are supposed to help with cooling. most will agree on here that good quality non sodium spec valves are up to turbo aplications. i am using a austin 1300gt head on mine (larger inlets, as with mg metro), but with a+ exhaust valves as these are better quality. i will be hoping for around 120bhp. i know a lot of people here use heads modded by benross - he is a member on here and seems to sell heads at a very reasonable price for the spec

yes if i keep mine i will be having a head moded by benross

like the gents say any 940 casting will do
