Its been a while since, but my fav trick was 'Buttering The Muffin' cos its simple, looks ace when done properly and I like the word Muffin, for more than one reason *hehe!*

I find Goofy riders tend to get a bit upset because they are differnt. They have to aproach rails and jumps at differnt angles some of the time where there is no line ito it *hehe!* Not so much now with all this switch stuff going on.

nah,

a nice long alpine board with the bindings set about 60/30 and a helmet and body armour is where its at.

either that or hit the powder snd just goof around.

you can keep your board parks...

powder is where its at!!!

i love riding in a park but just carving through powder is sooooo nice!!

i go for all mountains because i like both so powder can be a little draining on the back leg! but well worth it!!

true, but a proper board for powder really helps,

tbh i'd love to be able to go to te park anf=d do big jumps but i,m piss scared of heights, so i just go really fast instead... like its any safer lol.

Ahh man I wanna go again. Everything about me is left sided/the opposite way to the norm and goofy just feels natural to me, my left foot being the "chocolate foot" when riding push bikes, I kick with my left foot, write left handed, sucka punch left handed and jack off left handed.

And something else that proved to be a pain in the arse recently, ive been looking into learning guitar, took me ages to find a left handed one there barely any used ones so the choice is properly small!!

But yeah, when I went boarding for the first time (the only time ive been), its such a painfull learning process, I twisted my knees so many times and just faceplanted everytime I tried to turn on my toes lol.

Worst of all, is being sooo tired from picking yourself up all the time, then bailing on really thick powder, then having to walk your way out of it before you can bind up again. SO sapping when the snow is really soft/deep.

Nice board Jim, as I said on MSN pics and vids aswell of storys of broken limbs when you return please :)

never been bulgaria mate so couldnt really comment. the best thing to look at is piste maps for you resort and total piste length.

some sites give you a break down on how much total black/blue/green etc piste there is so you can see whether there is a decent amount of piste for your capability.

but there is only one real way to find out!! it'll be good where ever you are mate! afterall your boarding! isnt much better! surfing comes close as its quite similar to powder, but the whole holiday thing of boarding takes it up a notch!

cannot wait! we will be booking a last minute deal at the end of Feb!

you can go Soldeu, Andorra for 7 nights for £93 at the moment........tempting but would have to leave on sunday and cant get time off work...

yeah, thats going to be worse with the exchange rates ATM *frown* if your clever you can go to a smaller resort that is linked to a bigger one. lift passes are cheaper and they sometimes get you on some of the lifts for the linked resort. if not they hardly check the card...you didnt realise you where in a different resort ey!!

oh yeah, i rode switch as well, both at 15degrees and found it so much easier!

I always thought it was "dutch"?

its goofy. but then if you normally ride goofy but then for what ever reason turn the other way into regular temporarily your riding in swtich. vise versa for regular riders.

15 deg the same way or 15 deg opposites? i normally ride 15 deg front foot forwards and about 10 deg back foot in the opposite direction (duck stance / ) as it makes riding switch when you want/have to alot easier!

the fact that i used to skate really helped me when i first went out and still does now to be honest!

i think i might need to get a new skateboard when i get back, im starting to get urges for abit of it again!!

austria is supposed to be really nice! how'd you find it? much night life? what resort did you go to?

15 degrees both out. i.e "V"

Austria was really good, we went to rauris outside salzburg, snow was excellent.
Not much nightlife but because there was 8 of us we turned a bar into our own and soon made it a good night every night!!
Beer was 3 euros a pint so not too pricey but soon added up over the week.
Only thing with our resort is that we're all pretty much beginners and all the blue runs were actually red's so you soon got a lot of speed up which isnt good when your learning to carve!
Xscape for me on sunday to keep my hand in!
Erm matt, there wasnt many mountain pics on my camera! mine were the nights out ones! ha ha! of which there were about 300! *happy*

i was at xscape (milton keynes) the other week. pretty good, can get abit tedious up and down the lifts alot though ubt GREAT for begginers/ getting back into the swing of things if you havent been for a while.

definately worth the time/money IMO!
