im just about to braze a fuel return into the tank, where do you think it would be best to put it ?
very top of tank facing up,
very top of tank facing out
in the filler neck, im dubious about this cos theres a little flap at the base of filler neck, would the neck get flooded ?

If you have a tank with the flap in it, that suggests to me that you already have an injection fuel tank which already has a fuel return??
If not then up to you really, I fitted my return to the top of the tank facing into the boot, if you look there is an area where there is a vertical face that is ideal for it.

there is an out let at tope of tank but i think this is just an overflow for the tanks as its rather small and the pipe connected runs down and emptys out under rear subby. theres no pump on tank and its never been modded so its just bog standard tank i think . cheers for advice, i think i will put it in tank rather than neck, just in case it does flood.

Must be you have a very late carb tank then.
The pipe you mention is the tank breather and should be left connected as it is.

Just be careful you don't end up doing what I did. I sited the return opposite the filler neck and just used a straight piece of pipe. What happened?? When the pump was switched on, the petrol pissed out of the filler neck. Had to cut it out and do it again with a downward bend in the line. What a plonker!!! *blush*
