Does anyone run two rads? One either side maybe, or one on the normal passenger side and one up front.

I was reading a Mini mag with Matts mini williams in and see he has a 2nd rad, but the picture isn't very clear where it is, Looks like its at the back of the car but exhaust?

any pics?

Lightweight racer coming soon.

I run the heater loop through a 13row oil cooler mounted at the front, It helps a lot when you are moving..

I run a full on ali job and a decent electric fan, havn't had problems with overheating at all. I beleive the wetr water product works quite well (so i have been told)

Just a note - oil coolers are the most inefficient way of cooling water on a car - you are better off with a heater matrix!

Stefan must have a decent look at your rad next time as I run a twin rad set up.

hi i run two full size rads in my blue car one either side the normal rad is std the second rad is again a std rad but with a bottom rad cap placed on the top. the rad cap has the pressure releif part cut out and run a metro expastion tank run is as follows
bottom of headerto bottom hose
thermostat housing to top of second rad
bottom of second rad to top of std rad by thermostat bottom hose std
the over flow from filler neck returns to top of header
she runs at 70degs @18psi boost all day run the track on a hot day
also run elec fans on both rads and a 6 blade mechanical
rad tech now do a extrem rad which is twice the width of a std one which fits under the wing with only a few small mods

But better than nowt....

I work on CT scanners that are water cooled, the radiators we use are not much different than an oil cooler, and just about the same a s the oil cooler we use...

OK a heater matrix may be more efficient but its also half the size.

Original spectrums 7x10 with 180/490 slicks
6.5x10 spectrums with A032Rs
then 7x10 Spectrums with wets (on an action day - naughty naughty!)

Yeah that has been said by someone else
