I guess some of you will know this but for those of you that don't..

If you send money for Ebay items, goods or services you get charged a percentage.

If you go into SEND MONEY.. Then into the box where you fill in the amount you see tabs saying "PURCHASE/PERSONAL"...

Click on PERSONAL...Then tick on GIFT.

The money gets sent as normal but paypal does'nt cut their slice out... A few bucks better of in these credit crunch times.

For example...

I was given 4 new race valves and 4 new bronze guides, as a GIFT to the person I sent them £155 for being so generous, no paypal charges!...

Hope it helps with sending gifts around TM and other transactions.

Can someone do a screen dump?

I've recently read this on another forum.

However where it's sent as a gift and Paypal dont get a cut, if anything goes wrong, i.e you dont get what you pay for, you get no support from Paypal so you dont get your cash back.

Just be wary and make sure you have the details of whoever you're sending cash to so you have other means of contacting the seller if it isnt through a dispute on Paypal.

Paypal has pissed me off recently, sold something on Ebay, the guy paid me straight away as normal, went onto my Paypal account to withdraw the cash into my bank account :-

"Funds being held until further activity"

Turns out I cant withdraw the cash to my account until the buyer leaves me feedback on ebay, what a fucking joke that is?!?!

Whats going to make the buyer rush onto his PC the minute he gets the item and leave feedback so I can get my money for what ive sold him, its disgusting how they can hold your money like that!! Is this new for everyone or just me??

A simple answer is to send stuff in the post signed for, an extra 72pence, gets signed for and is insure, the buyer absorbs the post.

Who nees paypal' insurence?

The fact i am pointing out is that on a forum where alot of people know and trust each other is a money saving thing and not putting even more money in Ebay/Paypal's (same company)purse.
