Hi ! I built my Metro using a mk1 body with a mk2 front and all the metro turbo running gear. Four pots, anti roll bars, plastic and all.
Fitted the inside with a rover metro innards including the dash and heater, which I was told could not be done. It all looked great finished in Fiat exploit yellow. A sort of metallic green yellow, loved it.
Bought some Rover 5 spoke alloys and shod them with new wide radials. Initially it had a 4" pipe, but it was like being inside a 747 when I accelerated. Some sort of reverb between the K&N and the exhaust, but it made me grin.:)
It is very rapid and goes around corners like a go-kart, I really enjoyed my time with it.
Still have the car but it needs to go as I have gone to the darkside and want to finish a Volkswagen camper. France with a cold beer calls.8-)
