Hi there, ive lowered my metro quite abit as some may know but the lowest point on the car at the back is the petrol tank OH OH!

ive been scouting about for a CHEAP fuel cell or even a tank that is square/round that i could make fit.

Ive now started to think of alternatives such as plastic petrol cans just big ones, the car will be used for weekend fun so a average sized tank will do (std mini size is fine)

I just cant think of anything that i can use? so what has everyone used, or what could i use?

I will be chopping out my spare wheel well and plating it with alloy so anything can go on it really.

Thanks

something in the spare wheel well would be good.

take a look at advantage998's build thread. there is a link in there (might be an item number) to an ebay seller or alloy feul cells.

This is the one i brought: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ARP-Motorsport-Alumi...%3A1|240%3A1318

Really good quality tank and they always seem to go for the start price.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

i doubt this will be practical or even legal but what about an outboard fuel tank off a boat, like so:
