on this picture you see on the right side of the plenum a hole with a spring in it, i only have a spring there, is that ok?

i hope that someone can help me with this?

There should also be a disc (dome, plunger...) under the spring.

When the other part is bolted on it should make a spring loaded valve (safety valve, blow-off valve, relief valve) to let excess pressure out of the plenum through the slot you see in the other part. But normally the hole is closed, it only opens with high pressure.

So under that spring there should be another part, not just a hole !!!

however, most people bloc them up as they pop at 10psi. So if you want to rum over 10psi just block it.

p.s. English is perfect

There are several ways from a simple bung/stopper to welding it over, BUT.....

Most people block it because they are fitting a proper dump valve instead.

If you block it without fitting a dump valve, the life of the turbocharger may be reduced.

When you "lift off" (decellerate or close the throttle suddenly) there is nowhere for the compressed air to go so the turbocharger compresser stalls (stops very quickly). This is not good for its life.

Most cars have dump valves (operated by manifold vacuum sensing the throttle has closed) - this relief valve is a crude (simple) alternative working on compressor pressure rising.

You really need one or the other.

Good :)

Block it like everyone else who fits a dump valve then :)

Do a search and you will see the different ways of fitting the dump valve (and blocking the old relief valve).

but this isn't a dump valve. It's a pressure release valve, pops around 10psi.

And at less than 10psi the worth of a dumpvalve is of some debate.

Agreed, but from suffe's statement "i have a dumpvalve so that is coming good!" I had assumed he means that he is intending to use a normal dump valve instead (or as well as) the little relief valve ???

And at less than 10psi I agree that, theoretically, the worth of any sort of dump valve is debatable .......
but maybe not in this thread.
