My engine is a boggo 1275cc late carb model fitted with electronic ignition (june 1994 - so a very late carb model) what is the compression ratio likely to be?

Ive been offered a head that has chambers which are 22cc each

would this be suitable for a turbo conversion?

My sister looks like me but with long hair! so save that one for your wank bank i dare you!...

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

it is likley to be 9.75:1 ........ not too far off the mark there,

if you are considering turboing it with those pistons in, you will have to increase the CCs in the combustion chambers to 28ccs this will give you a cr of around 8.5:1 this coupled togeather with a good intercooler and 10 psi of boost will give you a shade over 110 bhp

thats if the rest of the engine internals are up to it,

i doubt it as it may well have done starship miles (ie) its not clapped out to start with ................this is only a guide for you .... hope this helps

The engine is spot on as it had only covered 16.5k miles when i bought the mini, it had been in storage for 13 years. It even still has all the stickers on the HT leads, stickers on the Aux fan etc

well the clutch and drop gears will fail over that boost

there are many mods to make to an engine to make sure it lives under high boost conditions , thats why i would not advise to go beyond this level

if you need the ccs droping in the head give me a PM
