I've hit the stage again where i want to scrap the project, stupid bollocking cage going through the rear seat is doing my head in.

Any one got any hints/tips/ soothing words to assist with sealing it up to make a firewall before i rip it all out?

leeds/wakefield.

use cardboard to make two patterns for the sheet, one coming up from below and on from the top,

then when they are a good fit around the tubes mark them around the inside of the square youv'e got showing and butt weld them in place,

Been trying the card board trick and i'm failing miserably, the card board mock up seems to work then as soon as i replicate it in steel and offer it up it doesnt want to fit as its not flexible enough to manover into place.

Cardboard is the way forward...stick to it, you'll get there in the end!

You may have to cut the steel into smaller sections than the cardboard templates to manover it into place. When trying to fit the cardboard templates, treat them as if they were steel. That way you know how to go about making the steel version.

I was having the same prob with the card mocking up the ally panels on mine.

Dont let it get to you, take a brake then go back later.

Supose it doesnt have to be perfect as the flat could be sealed with seam sealer insted of trying to seam it all with weld.

Am sure ul sort it, the rest of the build looks spot on and if youve managed to sort the roof wich would of put loads off.
