Well done Paul.

That's a great deal of effort gone into proving an aftermarket solution for fuel injecting the five port A series.

Your huge investment in time and equipment has finally paid off.

Time to get it fitted to the Miglia to just show what's possible.

Thanks also to Jean for the code development that made all this possible.

Yes. Next step will be to double up the injectors on a single pulse then fit the turbo.

You see it is not that difficult is it *happy*

It's the smothest free revving Mini that I've ever driven. Pulls from 2000 rpm in top, no problem.

You would not think that it is only 1030cc, 9:1 CR and a 2.95 diff.

Maybe I'm over selling it. I'm sure it would be beaten by most other high performance NA Minis, but it does drive well.

And does it sound different? I imagine that with the manifold and TB it must be quite different from the SU's sound.

Taking orders? This is Turbominis not a take-away...

You can buy and build a kit and do this same stuff...

I'd agree with that, revs easily right through to the rev limiter, it just keeps on pulling *smiley*

I've had a bit of a play with the settings this afternoon as work is a bit quieter.

We had been having a bit of a stumble just off idle. It had a tendency to miss if you stamped the throttle.

I thought that it was injection timing or VE related but could not cure it by adjusting the settings. I also thought it could be the 55mm throttle body which is a big on the large side.

It turns out that the Acceleration Enrichment was bringing in the second pulse and dumping extra fuel into the inner cylinders when it was not needed.

I've taken out the AE all together and it is much better, although it feels as if it does need some enrichment.

Ultimately, the real solution is going to be fully sequential with Jean's add-on board driving four injectors separately.

have you checked the megasquirt logs for erroneous engine bits due to electrical noise?

I suppose I should but it's running realy well at WOT and cruise.

The problem was only when you stamped on the throttle from idle.

I'll have to have a look at this and see if it can be corrected. But the best solution would be to have a single pulse mode and potentially a switch over point where it goes from 2 pulse mode to one pulse mode with some hysteresis.

also paul it may be wort trying a damper in the map line, made quite a differance to the drivability of mine. in fact i'd wager andywaller could actually pull away without stalling it now! lol

2010 maybe at the current rate of progress and the mountain of work to do.

I'm trying to negotiate some time off to get it built.
