Well I've just got back from a great day out!

Top weather and as always a top track... but apperently the show wasn't that great, though I didn't really have a proper look round.

It was good to put some names to face:

MiniMark
Iain
Matt Woods
Matt
Jimster
Giallofly
Karl (doodmeister)

and more I can't think of!

I had a good day, finally sorted my fuel problem and got the engine going properly. Only problem is that it really highlights the lack of handeling and the fact theres too much braking from the rear!!!

In all I think I had 3 sessions on track including one with JF as a passenger (cheers for the advice!).

I can't say how happy I am, Combe was the 1st track event I did back in 1998. Same car as now but almost std with a tuned 998 and everything went past me. A couple of year after that I was back there with a 1310 and thought I'd be fast but got blown away by miniwilliams!! This year I finally got it right! Only got over taken by three cars and they were all full on racers! Luckily I wasn't in the same group as the really fast turbos like JF, Jimster or Mark hehehe.

JF's car looked imaculate but only got out once.

Jimster car still wasn't ready but will be stunning one day! I think the high light was the screen blowing in on Jim as he went down the main st8. Only the rool cage and the rear view mirrow holding the screen in!!!!!

Mark's car was definatly faster than Jims *tongue*

All in all a very good day out and I'm looking forward to the next trackday already!

Alex

PS photos to come later!

Alex i believe I seen you on track if you have ALEX F on the side of your car that is. Also seen a dark blue turbo with 'mini turbo' over the windscreen, a mini turbo also dark blue on track which was an absoulute rocket, Mini Williams parked up - nice!

Was a good day, as for the omega, i was behind the barrier when it happened *happy*. Had a crap view but all the sounds

I parked up the other end of the of the show on someone else's stand ooops!

I couldnt find TM stand easily and it was really busy at 8.30 so circling round with a transit and trailer was not a good idea!

Stevo... yes that was me!

yeh, me and my little bro both agreed yours was fast - we liked *happy*.

Out of interest how fast do you go by the first crowd of people on the pit exit when going round the track?

Hmmmm.

I watched the match / fitted a front subframe.

I'll stick to the straight-line stuff i think (or being a passenger!)... think the best i've ever done at Combe was 1'38" - a lot slower than JimMarkJon!

my one was the black one by the way.

i done my 5 laps of glory and it was fookin brill..
shame i'm skint cos i could have gone round all day!

i had one little mishap!! i manage the lose it on the esses and ended up in the field!

think i saw most people going round the track.

finished the day off by going home in convoy with matt (miniwilliams) nice to meet you again.

mine was the green one on the stand, not sure whos the red one was but it looked pretty smart!
i think i saw yours adam, was it the black one parked next to me?

did anyone see the yellow early mini going round the tack a few times? it looked pretty standard but sounded amazing and i was chatting to a bloke who knows the guy who owns it and he said it had an R1 engine in the front powering the front wheels! it looked pretty rapid on the track!

yeah looked a really tidy job under the bonnet as well!

Got some video of a car in the field actually, only a little mind as it happened so quickly, was stood just near the esses at the time!

Hopefully we can get a few more cars kicking about next year on the stand, thanks to all who made it *smiley*
