was asked to look a late cooper sport today (lovely car, 14k 2 owners, always garaged!)

Remember there is another rubber underneath, between the body and subframe, that you can't see easily from the top.

Is there any movement in the subframe on that side when you go lock to lock when sat still?

did it squeek when going from lock to lock whilst stationary? my mini used to suffer really bad with the steering rack squeaking against the body, that sounded like the tower bolt Edited by Brett on 28th Feb, 2009. Yes i moved to the darkside |
