They can't be a direct copy as they have been modified to take the Metro ? ball joint.

They can't be a direct copy as they have been modified to take the Metro ? ball joint. So, someone has worked on the design. Whether they are strong enough - who knows. Its more the dimensions that I was looking at rather than the balljoints, I would think they should possibly be a bit thicker in places, particularly the 'tube' that the bearing goes in. KAD said their new design was thicker with a smaller OD bearing. Shame theyre not selling them yet Paul I seriously doubt it! |

they state they are made form 7075 alloy, but i have had in my hand one of there alloy drive flanges and i can tell you it was not made from 7075 as far as i could tell, more like 2014,as there are clues in the anodising if you know what you're looking for,

I saw these at the Bingley show. They looked great and certainly weighed a lot less then the steel, but I was sceptical if they were strong enough, especially what we do with the TT. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

Another great thing with the KAD ones is that they have caliper lugs on both sides. That means that the hubs aren't sided. Cheaper as there is just one casting I guess. Great thinking. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

not forgetting that the thermal expansion of aluminum is far greater than steel , so if a great deal of heat were to build up , the bearing race outer may well loosen,as happens on alloy rear hubs .
