Rite im just trying to work out what compression ratio i have ive just measure my head using a 5ml syringe and white spirit with the disc with 2 holes trick i measured it to be 23ml does this sound right?

I also have 18cc dish pistons in a 1293

so is it just a case of adding the 23 to the 18 which would give me a compression ratio of approximately 8

or do i need to add another 4cc to that for the approximation of the gasket?? which mean i would have a compression ratio of 7.5

assuming this is right all i need to do now is look at this sheet

or am i just getting this all wrong and not have a clue what im doing?

With a total of 41cc in head and piston, you will have a CR of just over 8:1.

That assumes 4cc in the gasket.

That sheet is a general guide.
