Thanks lads been thinking of doing it for a long time I had just finished puting in a flat boot floor only to cut it up and do this :).

ho and Not a twinne
or 4WD
but should corner like a bitch I hope. The wheel base is about 5 inch longer and I am able to now run the car just under 4 inch of the ground which should be intresting for this years racing I hope.

Ho an I can now run any standard four pot all caliper, KAD alloy hubs, 7 inch disks and the sub-frame in is new form with standard disks hubs and calipers is about 30% lighter than a standard rear sub-frame so with the right alloy components it should be easy to get it to 60% lighter :) someone needed to give it a go.

Ya Jim I have used some standard M10 bolts in the Pic to hold the tower in place for mock up, but in the final setup I will have a custome Tower bolt with the Standard hole trough the centre I have a set of ripspeed hi-lo's with the alen adjustment bit in them so should be a doddle to adjust the corner weights all around rather than having to have the car on a 4 post ramp. I have always made my own Keys anyway so should be a big problam I have also cut a small slot in the twoer to alow be get a spanner on the locking nut.

I imagine hes using the trackrod end and a bar fixed to the subframe.

This would give him toe in toe out adjustability!

Thanks Robert,

I keep thinking Im missing somthing it seems so right and tbh not all that hard to fit so far I have spent about 5 hours on it and 3 of that was cuting down a sub-frame It all fits so well into the back. there is a bit of engineering to get it right but not beyond anyone with a bit of welding skill and a front subbe *wink*

This is how we do it on the GTM rear end. There is a newer design now though, which gets rid of the bump steer.

It is exactly the same as a mini front end, but with the steering locked off as show. The problem is the arc of the steering arm doesn't exactly mimic the travel of the hub. Therefore as the wheel rises and lowers the toe of the wheel changes slightly.

You'll need to calculate your spring rate too, as you haven't got the engine weight on it. That is what we do on the front with the Coupe. The low tech approach is to drill some holes in the rubber cones.

Id love a car that will do wheelies, I will have one before I die. It almost makes me wish that I got into beetles instead
