As the question asks which would be better? Ive got the cash to go ahead with the supercharging of my 1300 and would like to know which is the better or safer option. Ill be running a stage 3 head, balanced con roads and crank, kent cam venier duplex timing, lightened fly wheel.

I guess you mean a shorrock? if so, avoid if you want performance, they are close to 40 year old... |

I run a bini as you call it and think it is great. It is by far the most common option as far as conversions go at the moment so the best option as far as spares and advice go. The other one worth a look is the SC12 from Aus it looks the biz. i think a couple of people on here are either fitting or running them. Shorrocks are a touch out of date. Look at some of the more modern stuff. That said it all depens on wether you want power or just driveability. |

I'm doing an SC12 conversion. It's fairly straight forward and possibly slightly cheeper than the bini charger kit. That is if you can get the charger... On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
i tried putting soap on it , and heating it to brown , then slathered my new lube on it

Before we slag off the Shorrock too much. They are old, they are overpriced and they throw vanes if you spin them too fast or hard. HOWEVER.......they are more efficient than any of the Rootes blowers either Eaton Gen 4 or the Aisin SC 12/14.
Bugger off, I'm getting there. |
