OK guys got some pics of my new engine and the ancillaries and was wondering if u could spot anything else i need, i know that i need a fuel pressure reg, and a fuel tank with a fuel return, but can u spot anything else? cheers

Time for the pics

and here is the car that the engine is going in..

The cars going to have a complete new front end before christmas, i was wondering how well turbos and flip fronts go together? I will also get the bulkhead box done then..

Also as for tuning i would like to keep the car very driveable, wot mods would you make and how much power roughly would that give, the engines getting a full rebuild so it should be quite solid

Cheers Nick

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Need a few more blades for you fan... lol!

pump needs to be an injection "roller vane" pump that can supply say 5 psi over what boost your using. metro one is the best as we all know it works.

you can use spi or mpi tanks though with itergral pumps. im using an spi setup.

you will want a braided oil supply pipe to the turbo. the std one gets in the way of the mini engine steady bar.

id say yes thats a good idea. should see a comfy 100bhp with a slight boost increase. dont forget to have the chambers opened up in the head to lower the compression ratio and you'll be laughing *smiley*

Opening up the chambers in the head, where could i get this done and roughly how much would it cost? also what compression ratio would i be looking for??

Morspeed do it for about £50 just to drop the CR

While you have the head off get it full worked over to stage 3 for about 400 odd and see 120 bhp on 8 psi with no other mods!!

that does sound interesting, but how driveable will it be at low revs?

also a thing im a little in the dark about is boost controller? where do i find that and how do i mod it to be in the car

More power will make it less friendly at low revs... but unless you spend all day in traffic then there isnt much point worrying about it!

Most people use a simple bleed valve as a boost controler.. this you mount in the car and to a point u can have any boost you desire. The limit is usually that your engine will only be setup to run so much boost and winding it up past that point will cause a problem!

LOL, a bit late yeah i got the distributor. I also have a fuel pressure reg so its just the spi tank to go, we are looking at putting the engine in at the end of the month, so alot of posts will be going up then to make certain that what we are doing is right as we go along..

if i had to change anything on mine id fit an actuator and the bleed valve hoses as these are a pain in the arse to do with the engine in! i got my fuel pump from avonbar bit expensive but it works well and had no probs
