Hi all,

Had my mini a year and getting the itch to make it faster... just not sure to stick with the 998 thats in it or go for a different engine etc.

what are peoples opinions? I will take a look at the FAQ's as im sure its been asked many times, just didnt know if people could point me in the right direction! thanks

Hi Steve, welcome from a fellow Chesterfield mini nut. With regard to making your mini quicker take a look at some of the beasts on here. easiest and simplest power upgrade would be to get a metro turbo motor installed then take it from there, theres 1 on ebay now 4 hours remaining less than £300

Hi mate, welcome to TM, to get a good idea of what you want read through some of the builds on here, there are loads of different options..

it will ultimately be judged by how deep your pocket is or how handy your fabrication / engine building skills are.

Thanks for the welcomes guys! I have some experience of doing the NA-T conversion but on my Toyota Supra.. i can get an MG metro 1.3 na and box for a decent price but it sounds like a lot of work to get it turbo'd... getting mine rolling road tuned at a stage 1 998 so we will see what they think the condition of that is and go from there.....
