Shropshire.

Think i spotted a few Elise drivers on here, so what are they actually like on a long journey?

Are they as bad after a long stint behind the wheel as the rumours you hear?

I haven’t driven one but now the insurance is on it way to paying for my stolen car im considering a new ish 2 seater.

First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

what do you class as a long journey?

Ive got an S1 and dont find it uncomfortable in the slightest, I think they longest ive managed is a 5 hour non stop journey on the way back from newquay and it wasnt that bad.
Though the worst part of it was being stuck in traffic with the hardtop on, being hot out side, but raining heavily so I couldnt open the windows

A noisy exhaust doesnt really help either, but I couldnt be without it. Does the S2 have carpets?

I have recently bought a S2 111S as my everyday drive (replacing a 330ci). I find it a very comfortable drive.

I wanted the 111S because it came with air con (I know the roof comes off!), I needed some comforts coming from the BMW. The air con is good in the morning with the weather we are currently experiencing.

As for the noise, with the standard exhaust I was impressed with how quiet it was really, too quiet for a sports car!. I have just replaced it with something a bit (a lot!) louder! :) You do get a lot of road/wind noise at 70 though.

My S2 has carpets, not sure if they all have?

sounds ok to me then. Was thinking of a trip to europe in the summer so that will be a long one, but other than that no more than 2 hours ish at a time.

I took my Elise (S1) to Le Mans, I added a bit of extra foam and could drive all day in it.

However, on long journeys (over 2 hours) I tended to wear ear plugs, as I do in the mini.
