Has anyone tried or are currently running metro steering arms? Reason being, I've bent one of my arms in the accident and I have a pair of metro arms hanging around so I am thinking of trying them, but have heard lots of horror stories as it "mucks up the geometry"

I've searched loads of mini sites and from what I can tell no-on who has commented has actually drove a mini with them fitted!

I understand that it will increase the ackerman angle, but is this really such a bad thing? All cars must have some ackerman angle and the mini is 1 degree as standard, and I'm imagining metro arms would give around 2-3 degrees.

Whats your thoughts guys

well, certainly an interesting idea,

i think the main issue is they will certainly affect the bumpsteer, if you can get rid of that then (or even if you don't) you will see some effect from fitting them.

will using them be a step towards what you want? there was a thread about ackerman stuff before, i seem to remember there was some articles posted up, may be worth a look.
