Which turbo to go for?

Its come to the stage where i need to get some more parts for my turbo project i will be running a full mirage manifold kit on my set up ive just picked up a turbo carb this week and fully rebuilt it, and im at the point in looking into turbos i've read so many stories on people running second hand turbos and them breaking im just going to go and buy one off the shelf so i hopefully will not have this problem, going through the turbo technics website, a turbo specialist which is pretty local to me i came across the hybrid section on the website now im looking to run about 12-15 psi of boost so a couple of questions

Hybrid is it what its cracked up to ? as in does it really not have as much lag and can you achieve more

Im looking into purchasing either the stage 1 or stage 2 r5 gt turbo am i looking at totally the wrong thing? if someone could guide me in the right direction it would be nice?

Why not try one of the Mirage hybrids ? Nic's certainly had great sucess using one.
