Hi folks. Come to assemble my subframe with all my reconed bits, and found that my disc won't fit on my hub. I'm using late hubs that I've refurbed and cooper 7.5 discs. The disc themsevles have slight wear and I was wondering if new discs from a mini supplier would fit later hubs as many seem to be selling conversion kits from 8.4 discs to 7.5 discs. This would mean that they have the correct fitting discs. Would this be right or am I trying to convince myself this as it's more than likely gonna cost me a fekin fortune.*oh well*

Where do they not fit, if it is over the cylindrical part of the hub that the bearing fits in then you could try another disc to see if there is more clearance.

the later hubs somtimes foul the disc near the oil seal at the front, original cooper S hubs were machined a bit more here, in the past i've just taken a little material off with a grinder.

on metro hubs the foul at the back too near the steering arms, likewise material can be removed until they clear.

Yeah Tom's got it spot on with where it's catching. I'm gonna take the disc to work today and machine off 1mm from the inside. If that doesn't work I'll be at mini spares saturday. *hehe!*
