PORTUGAL-VISEU

hi. today i have bough a engine but i have a big dificult in identify the engine and the car from the engine come..

the blok have the part number -12g949 (i cant find this part number in the internet)
the box have the part number -12g1128 (is like1275 gt box close ratio) i think that is a cooper s box)(Laygear 15.20, 25.29, smaller diameter 29 teeth area)
the crank is a aeg i dont know the type because that have been skimed.
the head aparently to be a normal 12g940 head 33 adm
the con rods are cooper s i think so....
the cam don´t have part number and i thing that is a aeg

is this motor from a Authi 1275-C or something symilar?

please help me

It's certainly "A", not "A+" from the dizzy mounting and the helix angle of the gears...

Beyond that I'm useless with the numbers but you could try here

deffo looks a bit odd.

i think it might be a mis-match of parts.

1300gt blocks had 11 stud holes,

the close ratio 4 sync laygear will have 1040 stamped on it.

they deffo look like S rods which is odd, i would measure the bigend journels and look for cross drilling on the crank. could be an S crank and rods in a 1300 block.

also measure the stroke, could be a stroker.

but the blok dont have the 1300 gt part number and this is the reason why i´m very confuse like the head is a normal 940 but in the side of the termo the normal 940 pre a is faced and that isn´t faced :-S this engine makes me very confuse

Could it be out of an Austin 1300? How big is/was the back plate for the timing case?

I've got an A seriesd out of one of them and the back plate is massive as it's used as engine mounts

thatts one rusty box,lol

the flanges on the block look prety thin too.

that box at as rusty as the one on that ginger bint from girls aloud...

yep she really is Patsy palmer ugly, good leg though , she'd get it with a bag on her head,

i still think its a early GT engine, using up old stock,

thanks for the comments, I found everything about the engine this wheek.

Cooper S rods
AEG crank not en40b
spridget cylinder head ( 12g940 but have the other part number near the termoestat)
box is a normal 1300 gt
the block is form earliers 1300 austins
