Hi im looking to do this to the end of the copper fuel pipes feed and return so there is no chance of the hoses falling off under pressure.

Is there a tool that can do this ?
Has anyone managed it without a tool ?

There is a tool you can buy. I brought a brake pipe flaring kit from machine mart. In it you get various flared die's. Did all my brake lines with it and it worked a treat. Only cost around £25 for the kit. For the brake lines you use the smallest die so I'd imagine that you use a mid sized one in the kit to do your hoses. You'd find it tricky doin it without this kit mate. :)

It is a fab idea but not needed, a well tightened Jublee type clip works very well, tried and tested.

Ive been looking around the internet and aparently others have said they need swaged type bits like this to pass an sva test which is why i thought they're might be a tool for it. im not too sure myself as i was just wanted to be sure there was no chance of a fuel leak.
I have however found out that if you get some 8mm or 10mm olives for compression fittings and solder them on its works well so i might give this a try instead
thanks for your comments

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

if you buy Sytec or Webcon fuel hose of the right size, once its been pushed onto the metal pipe, it takes a huge force to pull it back off again, without any pipe clips!!!! I doubt its going anywhere :)

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

yep to reiterate above, just get some decent hose clips.

And check them once in a while, as the pipe compresses and the clips can be tightened up.
