For those peole who have the Kad rear dic conversion.

How thick are the pads new?

How long do they last? Track time/Road time (although the two cars with them that i can think of dont really go on the road much! *wink* )

What sort of efficency did you see on the MOT test?

James.

I've got KAD discs on the van.

The KAD setup uses the pads from a Suzuki GS650. 2 pairs are required at around £13 per pair.

EBC make them in either Black Stuff (track) or Red Stuff (fast road). I've got red fitted on mine and with the bias valve turned right down it still flew through the MOT.

Not sure about pad thickness - I can recall the new red stuff ones I fitted were about 4mm thick. The discs are about 6.5-7 in. dia. I'm not the one to advise on pad wear as I've only done about 1200 miles in the van since I put it on the road. Quite a bit of brake dust though. Presume with the harder black stuff pads for track use you wouldn't see that.

Not a lot of rear braking effort required with these. If you dont fit a bias valve, they lock up.

Photos attached hopefully.

Richard.

Wow. The underside of that van is mint. I also thought that black stuff where for the road, Green for track/road and Red for full race. That was according to the Minispares catalogue. *oh well*

Yeah, sorry guys.

Black = road, Green = fast road, Red = track.

Got red fitted - they're really good.

Thanks for the comments about the rear setup on the van. Doin a rear coil change at the mo to cure a coilbinding issue on full bump. Hope to have it back out in the sun in time for Brooklands this Sunday.

Been a while away doin stuff sorry for the late reply.

Rich.
