i have oil pressure issues that wont go away, when oil is at running temp 95 degree it takes on average 15 to 20 seconds for oil pressure to build up to its idling pressure 27 psi. now this is what i have done to try and fix the problem

new oil pump and gasket with bolts correctly torqued

pick up pipe gauze cleaned and new gaskets fitted

pressure relief valve ground to seat like you do with valves

now when the oil pressure has built up the oil pressure is fine idles at 27psi and goes up to 60 when reved this is with oil at running temp, if i turn it off and leave for more then 30 sec to a min then it takes the 15 to 20 seconds to build again.

now i dont know if i have flow or if it is just that it takes a while to build pressure due to having zetec jets (they have oil pressure valve thing left in them) and carls thrust conversion.

can anyone give me some ideas on what i could do next to try and work out what is happening

im bummed with it now almost time to give it to someone else to work on as becoming really frustarted with it help

just a thought, and you've probably thought of this...

but is this actually taking that long to build up? could it be the gauge or the gauge piping causing a delay in the reading.

do you have an oil light fitted, if its a 25 psi one does it take 30 secs to go out.

also could it be air in the oil cooler if you have one fitted.
