Here are some flow figures for some different heads, can you guys add to this.

From John Kimmins

BMW k1100 8v flow Figures

inlet valve 34mm dia, exh valve 30mm dia

peak inlet flow 132cfm
peak exh flow 92cfm

K1100 16v head in std "clean!" form gave:-

150cfm inlet
116cfm exh

these heads have 2 x 26mm inlets and 2 x 23.5 exhausts. The flow figures liven up dramatically when the throats are worked mildly and 3 angle seats used etc. Again a very good effort straight out of the box for the valve sizes. These heads in 8v and 16v form have long short turn radius lengths to them which appears to keep the air attached to the port longer before departing for the rear of the valve - giving good airflow figs for smallish valve sizes.

From Viz's yellow bible the just of the matter is a REALLY good full on 5 port head n/a with big offset valves etc will flow around

135cfm inlet
100-110 exh

Average Miglia Head - Figures from Jimbo

130cfm inlet
95 cfm exh

Bog Standard 12g940

90cfm inlet
70cfm exh

leeds/wakefield.

can we not have more accurate indepth figures ie,0.100,and 200 300 400 500 600 of lift, this will give a beter idea of what is going on,

you dont just bung a head on a flowbwnch and check flow at 0.500 lift,
we need a full picture,.

Intresting, like carl says but even then it gives me a rough indication or what mine is flowing.

we definately need to know what pressure drop the tests were done with ,the results can then be corrected back to a standard pressure drop and compared .

Interesting stuff, as Robert says though we need the test pressure used.
I really need to get my flowbench working then i can test some of the heads i've done.
