i've been through the search's and found that the BK450 is the one to use, is this the standard metro turbo gasket? will i be able to get it in my local car spares place or is it a rover part?

cheers.

that is the actual part number of the gasket (payen bk450) so any good parts suppliers should be able to get one if your local cant get them then any mini shop should be able to.
dont us any other make (imo) i used a powertrain gasket couple of months ago and it lasted about 200 miles

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Yep the Payen BK450 is a superb gasket, pretty much identical to there AF470. The only difference being a special sealing ring on the rocker oil supply hole, so if that is available locally, it will also be fine:)
