So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

When I bought them, they were advertised as Sportspack wheels, so I was just going by that, that they were. I bought them second-hand, but brand-new, through eBay a few years ago, so I don't have any kind of original receipt to say where they came from, or what they officially are.

I don't know if they are genuine or not, but have an feeling that they might not be. If they're actually "Sportspack Style" wheels, I'll change the listing to say.

Can anyone advise for certain? The last thing I want to do, is mislead.

Cheers!

Ben.

I picked up a genuine sports pack rim, still in its packaging with the Rover sticky lable on, 25 notes :) new ones are £100 each. I have bought a few sports pack 'style' over the years to spot the difference a mile off. Im not saying there is anything wrong with these, infact if they are the 5.5" veriety, they have a nice off set that you can just about get away with the standard rover wheel arches. I do like the look of a mini with 13" rims and the standard wheel arches as long as the wheels do not stick a mile wide out *happy*

I still preffer the genuine ones as they have a much smoother styling about them with a nice deep dish look, a bit like the BMW rims that have a deep dish, if you know what I mean :)
Im sure Minispares did the replicas in a 7" rim at one point, just for the life of me cannot remember.

oh and genuine rover rims have 'Rover' cast into them on the back face. There are some copy genuines (is that a misnomer or what*happy*) that for all intent in purpose is the same rim, but without 'Rover' cast into the back face

I'm fairly certain these don't have Rover stamped in them anywhere, so they aren't genuine then. They were sold to me as 7" wide, so they could be the ones you mention that Minispares sold.

I've updated the listing accordingly! As I said... the last thing I want to do, is mislead!

Cheers! *smiley*

They should also have Speedline stamped into the back of them since that is who produced them for Rover.

Yep, which is why there is a copy genuine, lol theres that misnomer again*happy*

The tell tail sign between genuine/ copy genuine and non genuine is the emblem above the valve on the front face, if there is no emblem (looks like 'JIM') then they are not genuine, that is by far the easiest way to tell at a quick glance.
