while i'm taking the head off i'm thinking that i might get it skimmed and get the chambers enlarged to get the compression slightly lower.
what is this likly to cost me?
any recomendations of where to get this done?

Skimming a head increases the compression not lowers it.
You'll have to get the chambers cut bigger to lower the compression ratio.

Morspeed or Vmax.

I assume the "Heads you lose" head is the same as Jims "Heads you win". Are the chambers milled out completely circular like that? Judging by your results, they are OK. I think I am going to mill mine out like this. How big are your squish bands?

Bugger off, I'm getting there.
