Hi.. I'm puzzled as to what wheels to go for on my Mini.

I've had 5x10's on my last 2 Mini's but after seeing 6x12's on a picture I found, Its got me thinking, But how does a Mini handle on both sizes , whats best, and what would you go for?

Ideally I would love 10x7, But I'm not sure if I want spilts on a everyday car, so would probably go for a 6x10 if I don't go for a 12".

Could you post pictures up also if you have any, Not to fussed on wheel style *happy*

Cheers!

It's quite a "tin of worms" really when it comes to wheel size.

You can make anything work within limits with the right setup.

Its entirely up to you, the image you want for the car, thinking about what size brakes you want to run, price of tyres etc.

As above ^^^^ personally I like the looks of 10's. The extra height in the tyre wall also makes the ride a little smoother even with rock solid suspension.

Its a tough call, I went for the deep dish 12's on mine because of marks car!

I will only go down to 10's when I can afford a pair of the force racing wheels, and mainly to save weight. Though they do look damn sexy!

I think tyre choise makes a big difference to how it handles, I like the way mine handles on the 165x55x12 yoko A048's, simply because it is seriously hard to unstick it on a dry road.

As your braking package allows you to use 10", stick with them.
The ride comfort is better.

I run 12x5.5" Minilites normally, but have 13x7 Revolution RFX with sticky rubber for fun days. They require some guard cutting due to the offset, especially on a lowered car:

Fo a road car I'd go 6x12 with Yoky A539s. A great setup IMO
