Interesting - I just happen to be making an M14 X 1.5 boss at the moment (this metric fine size is used for a lot of IAT sensors) and am also after a blanking plug.....

..... along with M18 X 1.5 (also non-standard metric fine for lambda probes) and M12 X 1.5 (CTS sensors).

When I searched a while ago I found the M14 one is common on sump plugs, but these usually have a small flange so not strictly a grub screw. They are also used on compressed air systems and I did find a supplier selling blanking plugs - a grub screw but without the cone end - at about £1 but postage was £10.

Try phoning a few compressed air specialists unless you particularly need the "cone" end.

BTW, what's it for ???

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

I find the easiest way is to super glue the bolt to the end of one of my fingers.

Only other option is to Cut some bolts down and cut a slit in the top.

If it's blanking plugs (so don't need the cone end) phone compressed air specialists and ask for an M14 X 1.5 plug.... it is a common size for them. Same pressure rating, same hexagon recess, just a flat end instead of a cone end, which is what you want anyway.

leeds/wakefield.

I have a bag of those form the link and to claim they are 14mm is a piss take, more like 13.6 mm dia, which makes for a very loose fit, so best to use a second tap and trial fit as you go for a best job,

I got some from a 'hardwarestore' over here called Fabory, I googled it for UK:
http://www.fabory.nl/pages/home.html
Info on the package:
DIN906
steel MF
07660
140.150

Diameter is 14,0mm, slightly tapered to 13,8mm.
Pretty sure I should be able to source more if you can't get these.

Edit: sp, bloody foreigner
