have my turbo head ,but would like to know more about these others ?



also is the pitting on my rockers repairable ?

You could regrind the rockers, infact ive done 100s of them. Some people say its not such a good idea they say the original face is case hardened in some way and grinding obviously removes this but ive never had problems.

that rocker is goosed render it to the scrap bin

minisport does a decent set of 1.3 rioller rockers for £145

rockers no good ! great more money :( i have still got to build my engine tho .
are my other heads /blocks any good ? the mg non turbo lump came out the van when i got it, locked up now heads off and left out , and the 1275 gt lump got cheap no info , have the turbo lump from metro was running but had a lot of probs with leaks to run turbo (only would kick in if droped from 3 to 2 with your foot on the floor , so pulled it out ,think compression was low in 3 ?
question is getting a lump built for little money with what i've got ?

a decent spec turbo engine rebuild with omega pistons etc is around £1200 ish.......

then theres the head as well, around £500

thanx benross , i have some omega's i bought second hand not sure on the rings but pistons look ok!! would like a staged head but was thinking of just getting it cleaned up for now !. would the head need to be made unleaded ?

It doesn't have to be unleaded, no. It just means you ideally need to run an additive if it's not.

cheers phil was running it on that stuff ,but would like not to have to if unleaded convert is within budget...
