i am thinking of getting a lsd to go with my straight cut box but i am unsure on how it works?, do you have to modify the gearbox at all to take it or will it just be a straight replacement with old standard diff???

You do have to grind out the diff housing to allow the diff to fit. Also, you would need a different crown wheel to fit the diff.

Definately, definately don't use a single pin diff. Use a minispares crosspin diff if your not going with an ATB or LSD. Appearantly the minisport cross pin diffs are shite (like all things minisport) On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

4 pin would be fine, as far as im aware there unbreakable, thing is with 170 bhp all ul have is the inside wheel spinning all the way up the road and as soon as you get to a corner the same again.

I have a Tran-x LSD, this required the gearbox casing to be ground to allow fitment. As Rick said, apparantly the ATB is a straight fit. |
