Yo,

Before I run to the shop tomorrow, what size is the nut that holds the steering wheel on?

Cheers,
A

1 5/16 in real money. Don't be a bodging c*nt!!!!!

In all seriousness this is a very handy socket to have for a Mini, it fits the steering wheel nut, the crank pulley bolt, and the driveshaft nut for disc brakes. Add a deep 1 1/2" to your collection and you have all the big sockets you will need for most mini jobs.

Carnforth, Lancs

1" for Airbag ones *wink*

A 33mm socket won't bodge onto early ones (or tower bolts), to bodge you need 34mm.
1 5/16" = 33.3375mm

Al, I can try if your Halfords can't help.
