theoneeyedlizard has a pretty quite one with a filter on it,

personally i'd use a recirc one with a filter clamped on it, they suck as well as blow.

will make no diference to how it runs, or affect power as the valve only opens when the throttle is shut to vent boost pressure between the turbo and throttle.

Mine is a forge with a filter and as joe says is quite quiet. It makes a quicker sound, rather than a long whoosh.

There are also the 'sequential' type that apparently chirp.

You like the sound of the DONS dv? I can rarely hear it!

If you want quiet then recirc is the way to go, pipe the blow off from it into the air inlet trunking.
