hello was just wondering if anyone would be interested in buying carbon fibre stuff for their cars, i was thinking of getting intercooler pipes etc made up cos i'm at uni and we have a cf machine, any thoughts on anything easy and relatively small just let me know and i'll see if i can do anything. gav

See if you can get some rocker covers made up, bet they'll go well.

I'd be interested in rocker cover. would like intercooler pipes too, but they would be a nighmare to make as everyones installation is unique.

What you want to do is knock out the rocker covers for as little as possible, so mark will be annoyed he didn't sell his when given the opportunity!

Seriously, if you could make a run of say 50 rocker covers, at £75 each, you'd sell the lot on 'buy it now' on ebay as soon as you listed them...

That's nearly £4k...

now i'm definately gonna try get something sorted! don't think the intercooler pipes would work as the heat transfer would be shit as apposed to a metal would look cool though!

need to get a mould of the original rocker cover any ideas, also which rocker cover is best the original or an aftermarket one, can you run hi lift rockers on a standard cover?

i have an alloy one but i wish i still had my pressed one on there.
dunno if high lift rockers will go under though, i think they will.

aftermarket one from Mini spares, i prefure this sort to clear the 1.5 rollers. (even then it still needed a little bit of work)

You can't run 1.5 rockers in a std pressed cover from memory.
I think you can get away with them on the slanted MG version, even then sometimes they are close.
If I were modelling a cover I would also choose the 'square' minispares type to mould off.

i couldt get my 1.5s to clear my mg one, i had to go back to a preseed steel one!

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!
