I read on here that B&Q sell sheet steel, so I had a look yesterday when I was in there. A sheet 1m x .5m x .5mm was £38 |

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:

DOn't know where you are in S.Y. But BEavers at Shafton in Bransley charge £9 for a sheet that size. I think it is 1.2mm thick.

Your best to find your local metal merchant. B&Q etc are a rip off when it comes to being a metal supplier. Your just paying for the "convenience". https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

At work we work per kg. Steel at the moment is around 50p a kg.

Is this expensive, or is this what sheet metal costs these days? Anyhow, I'll go to the fabrication place near work and see if they have any off cuts. Edited by Jason G on 2nd Apr, 2009. On 19th Jan, 2010 wil_h said:

I seriously doubt it! |

What ya wanna do mate is find a steel stockholders close to where you live and casually walk into the yard on their lunch break. Most of the time the workers there will sort ya a sheet out for less than a fiver. Well??? they do by me. |
