im a tight arse and wouldnt give £4K for a mint condition era, but thats not to say its not worth it

when i look at minis, all i really car about is the bodywork, all the mechanical bits are easy to change, but bodywork is a pita in my opinion

go view it and take a cabinet magnet with you, check all the hotspots and if the magnet doesnt stick, its full of filler

it has one cobra monaco bucket seat for the driver and a classic bucket seat for the pasanger. the car was built for hill climb so it has no carpet and the fuel line runs thru the car rather than underneath. the fuel pump is on the rear seat plate. hence the one bucket seat. car is really light being stripped out and fiberglass front end, you can push it with one finger.

Spec sounds alright mate, as said before check out the body very closely. Painted a year ago sounds to me like he could be getting shot of it cos its bubbling up again, could be wrong though.

Glaring omission is the gearbox details. You need to know what it is, as a standard box if you drive it hard will not last that long.

Also things like "Hi boost head" in the spec list means basically nothing. It could be basically standard with just the chambers worked, or on the other hand it could be the full works. I'd be asking for a bit more detail, on this, the flywheel & clutch assembly & as Tom says, the transmission.

hi guy's, right like a said, i dont no much about turbo's, so when you say hi boost head wot should i be asking about? as for gearbox, think it's just about standard,but i have 2grand spare for a straight cut box and a few more bit's, wot sort of bhp would i be looking at?? thank's alot for the info.

You want to ask him what work has been done on the head, and who by.

as for power, 100 cars on this site will have 100 different power figures
