just a couple pof questions

any idea of what needle i could stick in my 998 turbo ??

and wheres a good autopaint supplier in manchester ??

Ha Ha Ha, a needle suggestion for a 998 turbo. I'm in the process of trying to find a suitable needle for my NA 998 and struggling.

I started with a BDD on the turbo, then got the RR guy to give it some serious filing. An I mean serious, it is now very thin.

What's the spec of your engine by the way, just being nosy.

Have you tried autopaint international for the paint???

Needle choice is difficult... best thing you can do is get a lambda sensor gauge and try filing one from scratch...

well if you take a std turbo engine and replace it with a 998 and then turn the key and see what happens ...... thats about where i am up to at the mo . but it does run ,but as i havent sprayed it yet it hasn't been out of the backyard yet . its kind of an experiment to see how long it takes to blow up !!!!!

it seems like the 998 turbo idea is getting more popular all of a sudden, you're doing one, i am doing one, wil h has one, i think there was more, i guess if we get more people giving it a go then we can get some good info to give to other people.
i like the fact that i can afford the insurance (got a quote the other day 1100 tpft with all mods claimed, which at my age and with an accident to my name is soo cheap!)
and when people say what engine you got ? i can turn round and tell the its a 998 (shoyuld see some funny faces after that!)

its an idea i have been knocking around for a while ..... probably about 12 years . i couldnt afford it then and i spent a few years away from minis (mainly playing with audis)
when a mate of mine bought a mini and subequently blew the enging up !!! enter stage left ... me .
Now i am up to my elbows in grease and oil again .... doh

Yep, I was in the Clwyd coast Mini Club AND lived in upper prestatyn. I've also got a twin brother called Ben. I had a red mini (the same one on my avatar, wasn't a clubman then though) and my bro had a silver/grey mini with 13" 100+ wheels on.

That is the same cam that I use yes.
