Heres where im at with my mini...

this is last summer..

heres some photos from today....

this is my subframe to fit in the vtec engine

Here is my mini i have cut the front off to make things easy, ill fit new wings etc at the end, also in the pic is my new pace charge cooler and air research garrett turbo

And this is the approx position where the turbo will hopefully end up, with the intercooler and charge cooler underneath/on the inner wing, ill see where it fits when its all in place :)

No idea how its all going to fit, but thats the challenge!! *happy*

cheers
james

what frame did you go for in the end james? is it a watsons?
ive been wanting to do one of these for a while, power and reliability sound like a good mix.

allspeed!! its really well made, and Rob who i met there was really helpfull and a genuinly nice guy, cost alot of money though i got everything from them, driveshafts, rosejointed bottom arms, heavy duty joints etc, but its so much more well made than the watsons one i had!

cheers

Found loads of rust today, and started replacing the scuttle - the old one was left unpainted on the rear, and although its only a couple of years old, has badly rusted! changing it all, also added a bulkhead box. im using a skunk2 manifold, but a little more space wont hurt!

That just goes to whow that no matter how mint the paint on a Mini is, it still can be junk. As lots of us has found out...

yep :( just shows how important it is to paint or waxoyl the rear of unpainted panels too. these panels are just bare on the rear, when i weld on the scuttle corner underneath pieces, im going to drill a hole and fill them with waxoyl.

some photos from today... rust repaired and new scuttle welded on
