hi, i had two gearboxes come with my engine one the original metro turbo box for the engine and the other i dont know what it came off. they look identical but have different numbers one is - A/BZ2 BC&M DAM5626, and the other is - A/BZ6 BC DAM5626. i want to rebuild one of these boxes along with the engine does anyone know which one is the original or if it matters which one i use? cheers

a/bz1 bc dam 5626 ,is the no on my turbo box on my car haimesy ,i think it makes no difference to be honest .

thanks robert, im guessing that the DAM 5626 makes them compatible so im gonna start stripping the cleaner one of the two :) cheers.

if you have a 3 bolt retainer box, id use that

one less thing to worry about

the first motion transfer casing bearings bigger on the turbo box, also the final drives 3.1:1 , i dont think the bearing makes a real difference, possibly BL being strange

Turbo final drive is actually 3.2:1, peculiar to the turbo boxes only, and different to the 3.105 final drives as fitted to later minis.
