Finaly getting out of rented places and bought a house. What a total stuped systerm we have for buying places!! Who thought of it?? Any ways told my sister about it and she thought it was I was strange I measured the drive space in mini's. It could fit 4 on the drive 2 in the car port and 1 in the garage. Is this odd??

Any one know where you can buy the fiber glass premade pits from?

Good for you - it's a long, long time since we bought our first house and despite the current market issues (which has happened before) it's the sensible solution in the long term. Renting is just giving money away with no return....

Be careful of fibreglass pits if your house (garage) is on dense or impervious soil (like clay) or if the area has a known high water table. My neighbour installed one when building his large garage and it collapsed inwards, cracked, then flooded just from water table pressure.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

I'm also not a fan of pits, I know a few people with them who never bother using them. I'm far happier with a solid concrete floor and get the car up on stands.

The only thing you need a pit for on a mini is to change the exhaust everthing else is bolted to the corners*tongue*

But like you Alex I got my first place last year. From comfortably well off to dog poor at the push of the enter key *laughing*
