ok took my car to minispeed to get set up, they fitted my dump valve while it was there but didnt block the original spring hole up etc me thinks this is wrong any ideas. oh also they told me it was fine to drive so off i go down the m25 first time my car actually works and there is a loud clonking noise when i come off the accelerator like the engine mounts are gone, so when i stop after 100 miles it seems they took off the cylinder head engine steady and just left it floating in the engine bay!!! i hate garages!!!!!!! |

nope the steady was in they fitted the gearbox steady and forgot to put the cylinder head one in. or do you mean the dumpvalve

no, i meant thats what they will tell you when you take it back, that the response i usually get (not from minispeed though)

They are a bunch of muppets there, together with that EFI 'expert' guy who was from honeycrockoshit racing before it went pop who says omex ecu's will inject an A-Series when omex says they won't!!!!

oh greypride i get you now, very true every time any garage has touched any car they seem to fuck something else up and their so expensive, the only guys who i've spoken to who know their stuff is avonbar so far, oh yeah what about the dumpvalve?

depends what boost your running really. that valve shouldnt go off unless it goes over 10psi i think it is |

cant i just take it out and put a bolt through the each of the two holes, how does the engine dump boost over 4psi if you keep your foot to the floor? |

You can just block the hole with a bolt, yes. The boost is controlled by the actuator which controls the wastegate, as Iain says.
