Force Racing ICT Dept Manager Miglia Turbo Am frum Yokshyer tha noes!

Ive just plumbed the turbo in and I havent yet plumbed in the turbo coolant pipes, how necessary are these? Its a very tight fit and some of the pipes have some harsh bends in them.

Also i was thinking of running them from the heater take off pipe and back to my resevoir! Any thoughts on this.

I took mine off as i kept getting airlocks, but then my turbo is up high...

nice if you can get them on, but not essential.

Yes you can run them with out mate, i think the water is there for people that don't let the turbos cool down after a boot (most normal people just don't think about it, or even know!) , so the water keeped them a little cooler.

Pesumably this thread refers to a water cooled turbo, not the T3 from the MT ?.
I have a ducted 4" pipe from the front of the car to carry cool air over the turbo and downpipe more because the underbonnet temps are so high than anything else.

Discussed this with Beachgrove engineering a few times and he now fit,s a seperate water sytem and rad to the builds he does to prevent super heated steam getting into the engines cooling system. He could imagine a mini setup suffering quite badly.
