Car is not currently MOT'd, taxed or insured.

Have loaded it up on a trailer tonight ready to take it a few miles down the road where someone I used to work for/family friend owns a nice tarmac road across some fields leading to some old farm buildings which have been converted to an industrial place.

Going to hopefully set the carb up using the aem wideband. What sort of AFR should i have at idle?

Anything else I should do now I have the chance? What else should I check apart from the torque of the head nuts.

Oil level in dashpot ? Plug gaps ? Once it's been hot, then cooled, retorque the head & reset tappets.
Good luck, hope it goes ok with the new head ! *wink*

Idle AFR I'd aim for between 14 and 15:1, set it to whatever makes it run nicely really.
However it is fuelling when running and especially when on boost you are really interested in, aim for 12.5:1 on boost.
