Simple question - do you have access to the inside face of the heelboard and floor next to this like you can on a saloon or estate?

In case I have incorrectly called the panel a heelboard, I am talking about the vertical panel at the rear of the main floor pressing that the rear subframe bolts to,,, :)

maybe, yes you have access to the inside of the heelboard, but i thought one of the subframe mounting nuts is in the sill

I think you are right, in fact I think both of the heelboard nuts are in the sill and not accessable without chopping a hole in something.

Cool - I don't want access to the subframe nuts, just wondering if you can see the panel like you can in a saloon... :)

yes you can get in there , on the van the bed just sits over the top ,the spare wheel sat behind under the pas seat and rear floor , on the pick up i think the space is still there as van ?

Yes, you have the same space in the pickup as well
