Engine / box comin out over winter, whats worth doing?

stripping the engine bay down on my mini now its been used a little and i know everything is basically sound, plan to split the engine and box and carry out a rebuild on the box or replace it with a straight cut as i want to run more power, what else is worth doing while im going about it?

also is it worth fitting a different cam while the engine is out? running standard mg turbo at the moment, engine seems to be in good shape so i dont really wanna go down the full rebuild route just yet

any advice for possible setups i could go for much appreciated
