Im looking to run a boost controlled igniton retarder, this is on a well modified engine, with an Avonbar modided dizzy & luminition. I want to make sure the ignition is correctly retarded as the boost rises, for longevity of the engine. I seam to think Demon Tweeks used to sell 1 but can't find it, any ideas or recomendations.

I know you don't want to hear this, but you need mapped ignition not a boost retarder. I bet you could sell your dizzy and luminition for the prie of a megajolt. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

Ben is right Gav, the boost retarders are a bit old hat these days, a MegaJolt unit will do everything you need in respect of ignition timing retard on boost, coupled with a stronger spark from a more modern coilpack. Have a read of a thread by Nic on MegaJolt installation- there honestly isn't THAT much to it.

I agree. Megajolt type solution is what you need. Clockwork dizzy is old hat. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |
